Well, I just got my first real rejection letter Tuesday. It was from the anthology The Way We Sleep. I had submitted two things to them a month ago, and I heard back on the flash fiction piece I wrote. The very brief letter said thank you, but it's not a good fit. They didn't say yet about the comic that Kevin and I did together. It's only about 1200 words, so if you want to read it, here; with very little further ado is:
The Skittering Spiders from Beyond Saturn
My goal was to submit something on time that I liked. I succeeded in that goal, so I'm happy. Published comes later. More writing comes first.
