So you've probably seen the trailers for the new Beowulf movie. I can't find the one I've seen most often, But I did find this one that has the line I'm looking for. Watch till the end, past the CGI naked Angelina Jolie.
So you've heard him say/shout " I am Beowulf" now right? Did it remind you of anything?
This is Sparta indeed.
So, I guess my questions is: did the creative team behind Beowulf add this in to try to belatedly jump on the "This is Sparta" internet Meme, or are the trying to tell be that all ancient peoples, from mid fifth century BC Greeks, to mid sixth century AD Danes; spoke in the same shouty way?

Well, with a pedigree like this, I'm sure they had a reason...
(PS: Did you know who the screenwriters were? Just out of curiosity...)
I didn't say screenwriters (I knew Neil wrote the screenplay so long ago that he's referenced it in other works, I had no idea Avary was involved) I said creative team. Perhaps I needed quotes around it. "creative team" yeah, that looks better, implies producers and marketers, which is what I meant in the first place.
I was being Ironical
