"Song for My Father"

Hope a happy Father's Day was had by all. We had a brunch, gifts, took walks and naps, grilled out and played some movie trivia games. For the most part it was a really easy stuff (I think the game was called SceneIt) but some of the questions were fun, so I thought I'd share.
  • What movie had the tag line "The battle for Middle Earth begins"
  • What band did the title track to the movie To Live and Die in L.A.
  • Who directed the Chinatown sequel The Two Jakes
  • How many Academy Awards did Moonstruck win out of its seven nominations
  • Who sung "Fight the Power" in the Spike Lee movie Do the Right Thing
  • Which Actress plays two different "Bond Girls" in two separate films.
  • Which movie had the tag line "The time is coming when all that we are afraid of will be all that can save us."
I admit, that some of those may seem easy, but I assure you, all of those were answered incorrectly by the team that was asked. In fact, my brother in law missed that first one and was so disappointed in himself that he was near useless for the next round. It was great! Hee hee!

Oh man, I think I'm gonna get this all wrong. Here goes:

1) Gotta be either Fellowship or Two Towers; I'm going with Two Towers.
2) I saw that movie! It... wasn't that good. I can even bring to mind the track, but... can't think of who might be responsible. Maybe Bryan Ferry?
3) I saw that one too! I should totally know these. No idea though. I'll guess Scorcese just for fun.
4)It won... uh... 4?
5) This is not doing wonders for my self-confidence. I think it was Public Enemy though.
6)I can't think of any in the canon. If you count the original Casino Royale spoof, though, then you get Ursula Andress again (who was in Dr. No).
7) No Idea. Signs? The Day After Tomorrow? Seriously, no idea.
7)

1. Two Towers it is. Really, I think my brother in law was going to cry for getting this one wrong. He just jumped on Fellowship and didn't look to his team for any support.
2.Wang Chung. That's right, the "one hit wonder" band who's song refrenced the name of the band and also possibly masturbation.
3.Star of both movies: Jack himself.
4.Dave, you are a woman among men. I don't know what the punishment for getting that right is, but I'm sure it involves candles, rose petals and a loofa.
5.Points return to Dave, for indeed it was the so fresh stylings of Chuck D, Flavor Flav, The Bomb Squad, and the rest of Public Enemy
6.Maud Adams is in The Man With the Golden Gun (she picks up the ciggarete case with the golden bullets and James sleeps with her while Goodnight is in a closet) and the title charecter in Octopussy
7.)X Men

I told you that they weren't as easy as they first appear.

Thanks for playing!
