"All I Have to do is Dream"

I wrote about him in my last post, and even included a picture. I should have known this would happen.

Normally I don’t remember my dreams. It takes something extraordinary for me to have anything more than a faint remembrance of joy or terror when I awake. The exception is when I fall back asleep after being awake a few minutes I always dream that I am getting ready for work. Today there was a twist. I imagined a movie that never existed, and I think I want to see it.

I dreamed that I got up and that the pain in my leg was gone, but the pain in my back was still there. I took Advil and brushed my hair; mouthwash and deodorant, then got dressed. I went downstairs and my roommate Chris was watching a movie. It was Katharine Hepburn playing an aging Monarch who had lost her husband years before. The movie was in color and she was telling her lady in waiting about how she missed passion and love; she never got to show it anymore, in fact, earlier in her life she had to hide it as well. The scene changes to black and white, and a much younger Katharine Hepburn is seen talking to a different lady in waiting and… wait for it… singing. Yes, singing, later she disguised herself as a nun and snuck out of the castle to meet up with a man.

I (as far as I know) have created a historical musical of a British Monarch. Possibly an alternative history of Elizabeth I; but most likely a completely made up Queen. It was Katherine Hepburn dressing up as a nun and singing about it that made me wake up. Part of my brain realized: wait this sounds like a bad movie plot, wait I am watching a movie, no I’m not I’m lying down. And then I woke up with 15 minutes to catch the bus and a really odd movie plot in my head.

So in a fit of Chaos I present this little distraction of a quiz.

  1. Name two films where Ms. Hepburn actually did portray a Queen.
  2. Name her only musical. Hint, it was not a movie.
  3. Name a performer who sang the song this post is titled after.
  4. Who holds the record for longest reining female Monarch?
  5. Name two Old Testament characters given the power to interpret dreams.

A little off subject here, my friend, but go see a physical therapist today. Not tomorrow, or next week. Today. They rule, and will fix your pains.

Also, way to screw up my time to catch up on all the email I've missed by creating an incomparably awesome 'blog. Way to go, way to be.
